Welcome back to MusIQ Club! So excited to have you back! We had a great first class today. Everyone came back ready to learn and have fun, and we did. Everyone completed their lessons, had time to play the new games they unlocked, and worked with me in their level.
Level 1B (Ella)
Today we did lesson 13 (Two Hands Together) with Mr. Joplin. We talked about stepping notes and practiced them on the piano. We remembered how to find Middle C (group of 2, down to C). We reviewed the musical alphabet (A B C D E F G) and found the notes next to Middle C (B and D) on the piano. Good job!
This Week At Home:
You can review lesson 13 in the Library, and practice with Miss Melody in the Practice Room. Do the first worksheet in your workbook. If you have a keyboard at home, practice stepping notes and try the songs in the Repetoire section of your workbook.
Level 2A (Brianna, Ryanne, Gabby)
Today we talked about note values (quarter, half, dotted half, and whole notes), and about stems (down stems for low/LH notes, up stems for high/RH notes. We did lesson 31 (More Grown-Up Notes) with Mr. Mozart in CMJ2.
This Week At Home:
Review lesson 31 in the Library, and practice with Miss Melody in the Practice Room. Do the first worksheet in your workbook. Look at the Repetoire in the back of your workbook, and try playing one of your new songs!
Level 2B (Lola, James)
Today we talked about 4/4 time and how there are 4 beats in each measure, no more no less. We reviewed the note values (quarter note = 1 beat, half note = 2 beats, dotted half note = 3 beats, whole note = 4 beats) and practiced combining notes to equal 4 beats. We did lesson 40 (Repeat Signs) with Mrs. Beach in CMJ2.
This Week At Home:
Review lesson 40 in the Library, and practice with Miss Melody in the Practice Room. Do the first worksheet in your workbook. Also, look over Repetoire section at the back of your workbook and try a new song!
